Hello, dear readers!
Today is a special day for my grandparents: They celebrate the 60th anniversary of their wedding day, a so-called "diamond marriage/wedding"!
It's just an incredibly long time to be married for 60 years... I really can't imagine this for myself ever to happen xD Some people not even get 60 years old at all...
I'm somehow proud of them: That human beings can stay together for a lifetime is a fantastic scenario which almost never occurs. But my grandparents never have argued or lost their love and faith for each other - I owe them my highest regards for this!~
Such cases are quite rare, especially nowadays with a constantly increasing number of divorces... Yesterday a reporter from the local newspaper visited them for writing an article about it, the mayor of the town also was present and they received a signed gratulation and a huge flower bouquet from a politician in quite a high position (the German subdivisions are difficult to explain in this case). I have the feeling they've gotten somehow famous by that xD
Well, let me just say this: Congratulations and lots of best wishes for the next years, granny and grandpa! See you at the 75th anniversary ^___^
